There's nothing like covering 4 states and 3 major holidays in 48 hours! We had a great time at Holiday World! We probably could have spent another day there, but given that it was Father's Day, we called it a day early and left for home around 1:00. Holiday World had lots of things for Carson to do and he had a blast. The pictures will be on his website by tomorrow. www.carsonfranklin.net. Greg and I rode both of the roller coasters, which were very good for wooden roller coasters. We also rode Zinga and Zoombabwe at Splashin Safari. We would have done all of the water slides, but it was so crowded that we spent an hour and a half waiting in line for the two we did ride.
We stayed in Owensboro, KY, the self-proclaimed BBQ Capitol of the World. We had lunch at the famous Moonlite BBQ and it was awesome. Their specialty is BBQ mutton, but none of us were adventurous enough to try it. The ribs, BBQ pork, potato salad, mac n cheese, and peanut banana salad that I had were great. Definitely eat there if you're ever in Owensboro.
When we got home, we went to my in-laws for a while to visit Greg's brother, sister-in-law, and nephew. We hadn't seen them since January and we had a nice, quick visit before bringing Carson back home for bed. Tomorow he starts week 2 of summer school and week 1 of swimming lessons. He likes the water much more this year, so we're hoping he does well at lessons.
I am working in Dexter, Caruthersville, and Kennett tomorrow. I have a 4 hour break between Caruthersville and Kennett, which really sucks. I went online and found that Kennett has what appears to be a very nice library, so I may be blogging from there tomorrow. It will be kind of nice to have an excuse to hang out and read without interruption for 4 hours. I'm also going to start eating better tomorrow. I feel terrible from eating tons of junk this weekend.
That's it for now! Hope everyone had a great weekend and have a fabulous week!

Hey Amy - So glad you guys had fun at Holiday World. One of those roller coasters is ranked number 1 (I think) for wooden roller coasters. Becky
